Full 10 people have pride. A sense of accomplishment. They’re at the top of the ladder, and they have nowhere left to climb. No social advantages to gain by joining a “better” group of people than themselves. By their own standards, they are exactly where they want to be – even if they know that others will disagree whether they are a Full 10 or not – after all, it is a matter of opinion what a Full 10 means. Nonetheless, they are done climbing.
Chasing hard-to-get is what climbers do. They are excited about the prospect of getting a little more than they deserve. This is why they love the chase. Full 10 people consider themselves perfection – if someone is chasing, it’s you, not them. They prefer a person who will meet them half-way.
There’s another reason for it. If you believe yourself to be a Full 10, you always feel a little uneasy about how others at that level define “a Full 10.” They also know what it’s like to be chased by someone who doesn’t (come close to) meet their standards and expectations. Not flattering. Exhausting. They also know, that chasers often get what they want, even if you’re not that into them. If you’re just good enough – and they most certainly are – they will get whomever they chase, no questions asked. Therefore, they are very careful not to chase beyond a certain point.
They express their interest, and leave it to you to decide whether they qualify or not.
The same is true for both genders.
