Progress. Real progress.

OK. This site is now performing small miracles.

And so is the Universe. It’s like all the tools that I needed to make this site happen didn’t exist a few years ago. It all seemed to just come together just as I needed it to, like it was meant to be. (Sure, it’s probably so that I’ve been synced to the development of the Internet rather than the other way around but… still.)

Today I added this nifty little tool I decided to call Paid Attention, you know? For the haters. I’ll explain it properly later, but basically when you get haters on your social media, what they want out of you is ADVICE. Attention. Personal attention. I don’t recommend giving it as it’s too… Complete with them if you’re Cat Ruled person at least… They’re too taxing to your mental health… But you could either monetize your haters or completely shut them up by asking them to pay for the answers to their questions. Fun. 😀 So that’s going to be available on your profile here… After I test it a bit.

Then there’s another trick I added today, which is a revamp to an old existing kit; a registration to the blog from a Second Life object. Multiple different configurations. So nice.

I also created a sync between some groups and roles in the backend, nothing you need to worry about but it was a long-standing head ache.

I’ve added some nice icons for myself in the backend… And a few new fields for the profiles.

All-in-all what this means is that I seem to finally have the permission to NITPICK. I can focus on meaningless detail that will hopefully make this look like a real website.

The other day I made that front page that actually looks like an actionable front (with the pop up). Normally, my front pages are just a wall of text people will take one glance at and think: “Hard pass.”

The reading list trickle feed plugin doesn’t work yet… Will have to figure that out. Will make it easier for you all to get familiar with the website before being thrown in from the deep end contentwise but that’s still in work in progress mode.

I think I’ll add a directory here so you can all post stuff onto it. I’m not sure yet if it’s going to add anything meaningful to it in addition to what we already have.

The site will be very creator/public figure friendly by the way. Just so you know.
