[SEBASTYNE]’s Club is a club for people whose happiness relies heavily on their romantic/sexual relationship(s) rather than other important relationships. We feel we can happily live without all other connections except a deeply romantic and sexual one, and the lack of a great romantic relationship will always feel like a void in us. We believe in the notion of “the One(s)” or, regardless, feel that if true love isn’t a thing, then a string of casual relationships will make us happier than being permanently tied to a lacklustre one. We’re very much looking for “everything in one package,” even if we’re polyamorous; spiritual, intellectual, romantic, and sexual connection to each of our lovers – and if we’re lucky, professional sync, too. We’re not everything to all people, but we want to be everything to our Right Ones.
We are very much avoiding commitment-obsessed people, who, in their turn, are likely calling us commitment phobics. (The problem with them is that they think commitment will cure all ailments in the relationship, even those which, to us, were never meant to be.)
This club isn’t a singles club – this is a matchmaking club. We’re getting to know each other with keen interest, to make friends so we can introduce them to our other friends. This is new behavior for most of us, but we’ll have to learn! Ask a ton of questions, not only if you are interested, but also in case you know someone or might get to know someone who might be! The one thing we all have in common is that we respect each other’s right to hunt unicorns, so to speak, and reject a unicorn because you’re unhappy with its color. 😀 (No matter how small your reasons, they’re important to you for whatever reason, and that’s all there is to it.)
We also very much understand you while you’re waiting for your True Emotion Mirror(s) or Twin Flame.
This club is for all romantics aged 18 or older.
Not really a closed club.
We believe
- True love is real, and if it isn’t, then we’ll rather just fuck around (from now on).
- Commitment doesn’t bring happiness if you’re tied to someone very deserving but not exciting.
- It is OK to reject another person’s love and devotion, even if they have no clue why they’re not the one true love of your life (or even one to fit your rat pack of polyamorous randos).
- Cheating on a partner means an automatic ending of an authentic love relationship if you get caught (unless you’ve mutually agreed beforehand to play with such things, and it’s a thing for you).
- We also know that making rules without a dozen exceptions is nearly impossible and will sound wishy-washy to some people, but it isn’t.
This is not a closed club, but you will be removed if
- You come in preaching why we should change our priorities.
- You come in telling us we have to lower our romantic standards.
- You come in shaming people for having spiritual experiences or faith.
- You act overly aggressively without a detectable sense of humor.
- You act overly jealous or controlling over another person who doesn’t like it. (I’ll ask them.)
- You act like you are DESERVING and OWED a relationship somehow. Nope. It’s not about “deserve”, it’s about… Some kind of a kink, really. Some individually definable twist and a dynamic that just works. Deserve is for relationship beginners. (We can argue about it until we get sick of you and you get kicked out.)
- I (Sebastyne) deem you to be in such a wrong place that listening to us will actually harm you, and you shouldn’t be here for your own protection. (Someone easily peer-pressured, naive, and incapable of holding an opinion of their own. Will oddly sometimes seem like the opposite; as Cat Thinkers are crazy unanimous in many ways, but if someone seems to have a real opinion that is clearly not Cat Thinking, but seems eager to change… They shouldn’t be here.)
- You sit there cooing at your lover, making us all gag and feel utterly diabetic at the same time. (Kidding. You’re fine, we’ll be terribly jealous, we’ll hate you both (all), but you can stay.)
Note
We are not particularly protective of your marriage. We deem it YOUR responsibility, not ours. We’ll rather test your true feelings than protect weak bonds from breaking.
Who, what, why, where?
This club is for anyone who feels the pain described. It is run by Sebastyne. We come together to enjoy the search, chill on Second Life, possibly enjoy casual encounters with new friends with benefits, and discuss philosophy with like-minded chill-heads.
